Herm. What more to expect when we are on a vacation other than visiting unique places? It would be, shopping! I can probably say that a vacation is just incomplete if it doesn’t come with any shopping activities. At least, we would want to buy something for our loves as sign of remembrance, no? These are the places which I have managed to visit and shop along the vacation :)
- Arab Street Singapore.
- Chinatown Complex.
- Orchard Road.
- Geylang Road.
- Universal Studio.
Arab Street Singapore, the place to shop for fabrics and textile.
Seriously, I was drooling all over when I came across the fabric shops. There are lots of cotton fabrics with cute pattern and design! I was about to buy the fabrics, it’s $10 per meter, but later I considered it again as I’m still having tones of fabrics in my stash. Nah, I passed it over. I would rather buy readymade clothes at reasonable price as I’m running out of em! This time, I will say that I have made a good decision. I packed light, grab 2 boyfriend shirts at Arab Street, and wear it on the next day :)
Oh, have I ever mentioned that I’m a crazy fan of clinchers? Among all of the accessories in this world (be it brooches, necklace, bangle, etc), clincher has always be my favourite! I personally think that a clincher is just perfect to complement a look. They can even turn a simple plain and dull tops into a chic and funky look! I have been collecting them for quite sometimes and still spending to add on the collections. Couldn’t stop myself from buying it ♥
My little collections. Sometimes it’s just so hard to choose between two that I end up taking both of them! Haha.
Welcome home, candies! :)
Next, our journey was to Chinatown Complex. If u’re looking for shirts or key-chains for souvenir, here’s just the right place! Or else, u might end up regretting urself for not buying em as other places are selling at higher price. I grabbed 2 printed shirts for my men (abah and abang). It stated “Singapore is a fine city”.

At night, the travelling agency had brought us to the Orchard Road. The place where branded stores are located. Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Zara, Topshop, u named it. Again, I was amazed as those stores are not available in Malacca! Haha. I didn’t buy anything at Orchard Road, though nothing I can afford for. Ops, not to forget that I have bought my first ever flip flop! It’s from Reef. The Silver Fox was killing my foot, like seriously :(

On the 2nd day, our focus was to spend the entire day in the Universal Studio. But later after breakfast, we did manage to stop by Geylang road and did some shopping before we headed to the Universal Studio.

Here are some of my catches at Geylang road: tones skirt, paisley tunics, unbranded sport shoes, and long sleeve nightgown (baju kelawar, haha) for emak. The printed tiger bag was bought at the Universal Studio, for my lovely niece Sofea :)
